Responsible use of resources

We believe that every company, regardless of the industry, has a social responsibility to act in an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable manner.

Sustainability is an overused term these days, but we still choose to embrace it. All employees should pay close attention to the efficient use of all resources. We are proud of our Green Sign 4 certification for all our establishments. However, more important than certifications is our responsible approach to resource management.

At HARBR., we take these principles to heart every day and continuously seek sustainable alternatives wherever possible.

GreenSign Level 4

The sustainable efforts and quality strategy of our HARBR. hotels are showing initial successes and were rewarded with the GreenSign Level 4 certification in January 2024.

The GreenSign sustainability certification is awarded by GreenSign Institut GmbH in Berlin. It is a recognized certification catalog for determining the level of sustainability of a hotel, developed by the globally renowned Global Sustainable Tourism Council. The certification is divided into five levels, which indicate how many of the certification criteria a hotel meets.

LED lights

At all of our locations, we consistently rely on LED lights. Their low operating costs, energy efficiency, long lifespan, and eco-friendliness make them a sustainable choice. Despite higher initial costs, LED lights pay off in the long run through lower operating costs.

E-charging stations

At the beginning of 2024, electric charging stations were installed at HARBR. hotels in Konstanz and Heilbronn. This initiative allows our guests and employees to conveniently charge their electric vehicles, thereby contributing to the promotion of eco-friendly mobility. We are pleased that through this investment, we are supporting electromobility and helping reduce emissions.

Green electricity & photovoltaics

By switching to green electricity, we are actively committed to sustainability. This measure not only supports the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions but also promotes the expansion of renewable energy sources. Our investment in photovoltaic systems underscores our commitment to a sustainable future and demonstrates that we are actively working to minimize the environmental impact of our energy consumption.

Cashless payments

"Cash out – green in!" – Payments are conveniently processed with credit cards, debit cards, or mobile payment options, allowing you to be completely cashless on the go. The benefits: time savings, security, billing convenience, hygiene and sustainability.
